The appointment of Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy to lead the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has sent Democratic leaders into a frenzy, particularly Senator Elizabeth Warren, who hasn’t held back her criticism.

Warren took to X (formerly Twitter) to mock the choice, questioning the efficiency of having “two people to do the work of one.” Yet, her comments quickly backfired, as critics pointed out that her own party’s spending habits are hardly models of efficiency or fiscal restraint.

Warren’s skepticism, however, missed the mark in more ways than one. Not only did she get the department’s name wrong, calling it the “Office of Government Efficiency” instead of “Department,” but her critique struck many as ironic, coming from a party that has been widely criticized for ballooning federal spending.
