'QAnon Shaman' from January 6th protest registers for congressional candidacy in 2024
Arizona's Jacob Chanley, known as the "QAnon Shaman," has announced that he will run for Congress in 2024.Chansley, 35, rose to notoriety after entering the Capitol Building on Jan. 6 2021, wearing animal skins, horns, and having his face and body painted.
The uniquely adorned rioter quickly became the poster child for the kerfuffle that took place on Capitol Hill during the protests to the certification of the 2020 presidential election, as Fox News reported.
The 35-year-old submitted a statement of interest that, according to the Associated Press, indicates he intends to compete as a Libertarian for the 8th Congressional District seat in Arizona in the upcoming year.
