As said, I do not like district by district voting. All these commissioners make decisions that affect our lives and we should have the right to vet and vote on all of them.
Vote NO on 3.

And one more thing, what's with raising electric rates when recently you said rates would not be increased?

who are the elected officials that can serve 12 years compared to the commisioners serve for 2 terms

@10:46...Conceivably someone could be a commissioner for two terms of 3 years each and then run for Mayor for two more terms of 3 years each. That is what this is all about.
As an example, Sarah runs for two terms and then runs for mayor and wins after Betty is term limited.

As far as number 2 is concerned, I will vote NO. You could have someone with a plurality at well under 50%. Say you have 5 people running and someone gets 39, 37% I want to see the top two in a run-off and win by a majority of the voters. When a candidate or proposition polls more votes than any other but does not receive more than half of all votes cast, you are allowing someone to win without a majority. Not good.

good point on both explanitions.problem is the writers of these are doing a good job of confusing the voters.be nice to have these things writen for the comon person to read and understand.i for one did not go to a school that taught how to read between the lines.hope a lot of us ask what it means

@12:25...In the majority of cases, and the city knows this, if they put forth an amendment, voters usually vote YES. They don't really think it through. The just believe their elected officials.

12.25 lets try to change that
