Biden Urges Americans to Mask Indoors

Says Omicron to Appear in US 'Sooner or Later'

"Sooner or later we are going to see cases of this new variant here in the United States," Biden said. "Please wear your mask when you’re indoors, in public settings around other people."

Yet Biden said the new variant is "not a cause for panic" and that he was not considering any widespread U.S. lockdown.

He urged Americans anew to get fully vaccinated, including booster shots, as well as returning to the use of face masks indoors in public settings.
