Michael Bornstein Resigns!

Lake Worth Beach city manager Michael Bornstein resigns after nine years on the job

HOLY MOLY! But I'm not surprised.

Michael Bornstein said Tuesday night that he is resigning as Lake Worth Beach city manager.

Bornstein's announcement came near the end of Tuesday's 5 1/2-hour city commission meeting. He will remain on the job for 60 days before departing.
"It's been a pleasure working with the city for almost nine years now," Bornstein told the commission. "I asked my wife to give me five years, and I've been here nine years."

I'm not surprised either. I think he was a good manager, and will be difficult, if not impossible to replace. He had the skills as well as the fortitude to do the job.

He knew this commission didnt want him. Watching bits and pieces of last nights commission meeting was a bit scary. Who is going to bail us? Stokes "I need more time to see what this committee is about" "I dont have as much time as VICE MAYOR Herman Robinson"

Dont have time? Dont run for the position!!!

We are screwed!

I think you're worried about nothing. Betty isn't going to be pushed around. She can handle the job. The hardest job she will have is replacing Michael. However, she knows a lot of people. I have confidence in her.

As far as the other woman "Stokes" goes: Stop obsessing about her. Let her run against Omari when his term is up! See how that works out for her.

Look at the meetings. Maybe they are all "nice", but most of them seem to know nothing.

I'd like to know who on the commission said what to Bornstein to accelerate his decision to resign. Was it, "Hey, Mike, you ain't my boss?"

Pure speculation about Michael. Maybe he just didn't feel like making the adjustment to an entirely new Commission. At any rate, he's probably old enough to retire; why turn it into a Psycho-Drama?

@4:19--NO ONE IS TURNING IT INTO A "PSYCHO" drama.
How he resigned is psycho enough.

Obviously, she took a page out of Omari's book. Let's see how far it gets her.

Omari actually is Black. Kim Stokes may not have noticed that in her zeal to play the race card.
