Post endorses: Skidmore, Hardy, Domino in Florida House primaries
First of all, congratulations to our friend, Carl Domino, for getting the Palm Beach Post endorsement.Omari Hardy got the Sun Sentinel endorsement as well as the Post's. He is the only candidate who showed up for the interview. Why anyone running for office would ignore the invitation to meet with the Post's Editorial board is a mystery. I have reprinted the portion of the article pertaining to Hardy.
HOUSE DISTRICT 88: Incumbent Rep. Al Jacquet has poorly served this district, which was mapped out to favor Black representation — missing meetings, dodging constituents and racking up fines for failing to complete campaign reports on time. He hit a notable low by hurling a gay slur at one of his opponents.
Four other candidates are hoping to send him packing in the Democratic primary. Our pick is Omari Hardy, 30, an educator with the West Palm Beach Housing Authority. Hardy is also a Lake Worth Beach city commissioner whose profile soared on social media for a heated flare-up with other officials over utility shutoffs when the pandemic hit. Since then, he’s been at the center of combustible discussions over racism and policing in the city. He led an unsuccessful push to rename Dixie Highway because of its connotations with the Confederacy.
As a state representative, Hardy says his first priority is to be “more present and lucid” than Jacquet. Further, he will push for more public education funding, investing in public broadband to shrink the digital divide, expanding Medicaid, and making housing more affordable through concepts he says are working in other states.
The other candidates — former Riviera Beach councilman Cedric Thomas, radio personality Philippe “Bob” Louis Jeune, lawyer Siena Osta, and Jacquet himself — did not respond to the Editorial Board’s invitation for an interview.

Omari, the racist and revisionist, is a terrible choice
Just vote for the republican candidate in November.
His day will come. Don't put anyone on a pedestal. He is an example of this, you all thought he was good until you saw his true colors.
jeff clemens and the other guy who was ousted from US congress a few years ago are other examples. jeff couldn't even admit to the mother who lost both her kids to gang violence in Lake Worth that Lake Worth had crime. There are a lot of ignorant elected today representing us.
No more liberal dem racists who support lawlessness and violence.
The Palm Beach Post is a biased liberal newspaper...it abhors conservative policy and Republicans, for the most part. It has endorsed some in the past, like wonderful Maryann Polizzi and now Carl Domino. Omari Hardy is the most Alt-Left candidate running, perhaps anywhere in Florida...maybe anywhere at all. :)
I won't vote for Omari, because he already told us what he is going to support, and I don't support what I already know his plans are if he wins.
So he gained name recognition, but he lost my vote with his big mouth.
No way would I vote Hardy! He is district 88 worst choice! Worst!
Who will vote for omari in Lake Worth after the way he has behaved? Javier maybe?
Herman for sure. He gave him a $1000 campaign contribution
Herman? The nice guy, right? What are his accomplishments as a commissioner? Name one.
Well, Herman has to support him. Hardy works in another government job for Herman's wife. If you watch the commission meetings, Hardy often says "what Herman meant to say is....." that's because those two talk shop off camera too. Unfortunately, it truly is a Laurel and Hardy show.
Vote anyone but Hardy!
ANYONE BUT HARDY!
Im surprised there arent buttons saying that.
