Just call last night's city commission meeting Comedy Central.
Feral cats are a problem, no doubt about it. Personally, I feel sorry for the poor animals that are abandoned to feign for themselves. Their owners should be rounded up and put in cages; that would be just.
Last night lawyer and Planning & Zoning board member Dustin Zacks notified the commission of a feral cat problem. Cats keep him up at night. You remember Dustin, the young man who went on the "Mayor Rachel Waterman attack" during the election, condemning her for her financial problems. He wouldn't let up during the debates, acting like a cat in heat--inferring that she was the biggest deadbeat in history and heavens knows why anyone would want to elect someone like that even though others running had their own financial problems.
And speaking of not letting up, he did the same thing with "cats" last night and interjected commentary under various city business items. They must teach you that in law school--twist any subject around to what you want to talk about. With dry humor, he did it well.
Feral cats are a problem. In our community we have been told by the City that it is OUR problem to solve. Forget about Animal Rescue; they don't help either. We had to hire a trapper. We did and the cats were hauled away. It seems that they come from the trailer park behind us on 6th Avenue South and those owners allow cats to roam around and reproduce like crazy. Every other week I hear gun shots coming from that area and it wouldn't bother me if everyone residing there would be put in a cage.

Love the cat picture.
His first time to the mic was funny but then it just got weird.
Dustin is witty.
The whole night was weird.
