Now and then Lake Worth gets in the news for something really wonderful. However, it is never often enough nor is it a big enough splash. This time it is about a hometown girl, with beauty, brains and talent, Andrea Flynn, who is a 2010 Junior Figure World Team Member and 2011 Senior Figure World Team Member for roller skating. She received the silver medal in the 2011 Nationals.
Born in 1991, Andrea graduated from Park Vista High School. She lives and goes to college in Florida, and her partner, Hector Pereira lives and goes to college in Pennsylvania…but they train in New Jersey. At the 2010 World Championships in Portimao, Portugal after having only skated for nearly a year together, Andrea and Hector placed 2nd!
