Section of downtown Lake Worth Beach reopens after gas leak
Palm Beach PostLAKE WORTH BEACH— "Downtown Lake Worth Beach from L St to Federal and Lake to 1st Ave S. reopened Thursday afternoon after a gas leak, according to a statement released by Lake Worth Beach.
Utility workers hit a gas line near the Toojay’s Deli downtown while doing road work at 2:30 p.m., City spokesman Ben Kerr said. Palm Beach County Fire Rescue and the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office worked to secure the line, the release said. Cars and residents are allowed in the area again.
The area was reopened after 4 p.m."
