Cpt Baer says, "We would like to register a bunch of bikes during the upcoming Street Painting Festival. The deputies at our tent will have the decals and paperwork.
It should only take a couple minutes per bike.The information (name, contact number, address) will go into a database maintained by the city. We can also etch a driver’s license number on the bikes. In the event the bike is stolen and recovered, deputies will have an additional way to find the owner. We are only doing this for city residents."
