Man hit and killed by train in Lake Worth

A male pedestrian was hit and killed by a Silver Meteor train (Amtrak) traveling north in the 1900 block of 12th Avenue South in Lake Worth Beach, investigators said. The incident happened about 9:47 a.m. Tuesday. Palm Beach County Fire Rescue found the man's body on the tracks, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
