LAKE WORTH BEACH — "A power struggle inside Lake Worth Beach City Hall sparked by the coronavirus crisis appears headed for a showdown tonight.The five-member city commission is expected to vote on a resolution seeking to “reaffirm” emergency powers bestowed on the mayor and city manager during a declared emergency.
After previously being canceled, Thursday’s meeting was rescheduled, in part, at the prodding of Commissioner Omari Hardy, who has urged the board to discuss what he said are “broad powers” granted without sufficient oversight to City Manager Michael Bornstein." [Palm Beach Post]
