I rather imagine that's what the suicide vest is for. If they undergo interrogation i.e. torture, they are likely to give away too much information about the group, thereby endangering the lot of them.
I'm glad it went the way it did. I'd hate to have him here awaiting trial and hiring lawyers to defend him. It could go on for years and years. Who knows, the do gooders on the jury could find him not guilty

Report has it that Baghdadi, in the end, killed himself by detonating a suicide vest. This will be a big blow to ISIS.
