Lake Worth, Florida - Please join us for the City of Lake Worth’s Independence Day Celebration on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 from 11:30AM-9:00PM.
The fun starts with the 17th Annual Great American Raft Race will take place in Bryant Park as part of the City of Lake Worth 4th of July celebrations. This year’s theme is “Race to the Zoo”. The race is preceded by a parade of competitors down Lake Avenue to Bryant Park starting at 11:30am. The race itself starts at 1:00pm. The Great American Raft Race is organized by the Neighborhood Association Presidents Council and is an opportunity for local groups to take part in friendly competition and celebrate life in the quirky City by the Sea.
The mainstage hosted by DJ Mike Locke will kick off at 3PM with performances by Marijah & the Reggae All Stars, Jahzilla, the 3rd of July Showcase Winner, High Tolerance and the 80’s cover band sensation the Spazmatics!
While listening to the live music enjoy the M.G. Productions Car Show & the Kid’s Area featuring Lake Worth Recreation’s Rec2Go, inflatable games, a water slide and much more! At 9:00PM our Fireworks show will close out the evening with a bang!
Parking
The City advises that those attending the 4th of July celebrations in Bryant Park do not attempt to park in Bryant park as parking will be extremely limited. Attendees should make use of the FREE parking available in Downtown Lake Worth and walk down Lake Ave to Bryant Park on foot. Closures
Bryant Park Boat Ramp - In order to accommodate the Great American Raft Race the City will be closing down the Bryant Park boat ramps on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at 9:00pm and will reopen them on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at 10:00 p.m.
Lake Worth (Robert Harris) Bridge – In order to accommodate the July 4 Fireworks Display the Lake Worth (Robert Harris) Bridge will be closed from 8:30 – 10:00pm on July 4th. Traffic will be detoured either north to the Southern Blvd Bridge or south to the Lantana Bridge.
South Lakeside Drive & 1st Ave S - On Wednesday, July 4th South Lakeside Drive and 1st Avenue South. will be closed from 1pm-9pm. To enter east into Bryant Park traffic will have to enter east on Lakeside Drive and 2nd Avenue South. Traffic will only be able to exit west on 1st Avenue South and Lakeside Drive. Golfview Southbound will also be closed for entry.
