California Proposes Giving Beachfront Property to Black Descendants
Right before Gavin Newsom's Recall Election, he and his Democrat State Senate pulled a political stunt--reparations to black Descendents by returning beachfront property previously seized from two black owners. The move is the latest in a long string of proposed reparations in the state. The bill “represents economic and historic justice,” state Sen. Steven Bradford told the Daily News, “and is a model of what reparations can truly look like.”
The Los Angeles land was seized from the owners in 1924 through eminent domain.
