Mayorkas Gets Destroyed on Biden’s Failure: Illegal Terror Plot Thwarted
In a recent appearance on CBS News’ “Face the Nation,” Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas claimed that the Biden administration is doing “everything” they can to combat migrant gangs in the U.S.However, his statement was quickly challenged by host Margaret Brennan as she brought up the case of Nasir Ahmad Tawhedi, an Afghan migrant who was arrested for allegedly planning a terrorist attack on Election Day.
Mayorkas said, "We are indeed doing everything we can to dismantle criminal gangs and transnational criminal organizations.” However, he failed to mention the specific case of Tawhedi, who entered the country through humanitarian parole during the Biden-Harris administration’s chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan.
Brennan pressed Mayorkas on the details of Tawhedi’s background and immigration status, specifically questioning if he was radicalized before coming to the U.S. Mayorkas, citing an ongoing prosecution, refused to disclose any information, but did mention that he hopes the public understands the challenges faced by the Department of Homeland Security. The case of Tawhedi is just one example of the Biden-Harris administration’s failure to properly address the issue of illegal immigration. Biden-Harris has allowed four time the number of illegals to enter our country compared to the number of crossings under Trump.
