The Syrian Refugee Crisis

Germany has one huge problem but we knew that was going to happen. Now they can't even track them and there is crime galore.

Thirty-one States across America have told the same thing to Obama who is NOT watching our back.  Once they're here, what would prevent them from migrating anywhere they choose. We can't track nor can we vett squat. And on top of that, it is the authority of the federal government, not the states, though individual states can slow up the process. Go Rick Scott. The states refusing to allow them are legislated by all Republicans but one.

Now it seems every day we read of some horrible story of what life is like in the New Europe dominated by Islamic migrants...horror.  There are heartwarming stories such as this one of a family who settled in Ft. Lauderdale.

"On Thursday, reports came out of Germany that female volunteers at migrant camps were being routinely threatened and sexually harassed. One woman relayed a story about a Muslim man who said, “I decapitate you,” if she did not help him find better accommodations. Others have complained of death threats if they could not meet demands for high-paying jobs or luxury items, the Express reported."

Read about it... and how Germany has lost track of over 600,000 Muslims and where George Soros says that the European Union is on the verge of collapse because of the migrant/refugee crisis. Elect a Republican for president.  It is the only Party that has your back.

Quote of the Day - Sarah Palin

Thankfully, not everyone with an “R” after their name is happy with the corrupt status quo. And there are a lot more good guys in Congress now thanks to the Tea Party. So, no, it’s not time to leave the GOP. We’re going to make our abusers leave. We’re not going to let them hit us again.

It’s time to kick our abusers out of the House, change the locks, and keep a loaded shotgun next to the bed.

~ Sarah Palin

Which candidate is more like Thomas Jefferson?

Which candidate running for president, either Party, comes closest to Thomas Jefferson and his principles--on debt, religious liberty and  the war on Islam.” Throw in individual freedom, limited government, and economic soundness.

Jefferson was one of our founding fathers and principal author of the Declaration of Independence. He was a Vice President and elected the third president of the United States; a proponent of democracy, republicanism, and individual rights, which motivated American colonists to break from Great Britain and form a new nation. He produced formative documents and decisions at both the state and national level. Source: Wikipedia

Relevancy - Citizen suggests inflammatory charge

Comment Up

It's all politics but the suggestion made by Mr. Ellis is ridiculous as politics often is.

All in the same breath he takes a swipe at the Lake Worth Tribune that does honest reporting and all of those running against the Trio that (real estate license or not), are involved in something nefarious. Heck, the Trio even had a secret meeting to give away our casino complex (a possible 99 year lease with renewals) to a developer involved big time in....you guessed it-- real estate.

Found on Facebook:

Ben Ellis If the Lake Worth Tribune really wanted to write a relevant article, maybe they could spend some time investigating why three licensed real estate agents are suddenly running for office, out of the blue, with no prior public engagement, and in some cases very short time as residents.

So, what are the facts?

DISTRICT 1
Scott Maxwell: Current Real Estate License thru 3/31/17
Ryan Hartman: No

MAYOR
Pam Triolo: No
Gary Antieau: Current Real Estate License thru 3/31/16
Diane Jacques: No

DISTRICT 3
Andy Amoroso: No
Frank McAlonan: Current Real Estate License thru 9/30/16

So, one incumbent has a real estate license and two out of the four candidate opposition have current licenses.  Neither one of the two opponents use their license to buy or sell real estate or work in real estate sales.  Gary Antieau might dabble in it but that's rare. So, three people running have licenses and four do not.

Of course, the implication is real estate salesmen have something to gain by running for office in Lake Worth against these incumbents and therefore we all need to be leery of these unscrupulous people.  Perhaps, they too, work for Hudson Holdings?

Frank McAlonan has Campaign Kick-Off Party

Comment Up

Last night, Brogues was the venue to hear Frank McAlonan speak as to why he is running for city commissioner District 3. "Too many beach towns have been ruined by thoughtless development," he says.  Further, he says that "as we revitalize, we need ethical leaders who will safeguard our beach and truly listen to residents. Lake Worth's small town historic character is our most valuable asset. I will protect it and use it to drive tourism and economic development."  He mentioned the homeless issue and says that there is a "compassionate side as well as a commerce side--you can't arrest yourself out of this."

What Frank says are his priorities:

Invest in our Neighborhoods
Fixing our streets and making our neighborhoods safe for families is a priority for me. We must improve residential areas and reduce crime to stabilize neighborhoods and attract home owners. He wants to focus on the neighborhoods.

Keep our Beach Public
We must maintain complete control of our public beach. My opponent planned to allow a developer to build a convention center and private club on our beach property. I will never vote to allow private development on our beach.

Restore Transparency and Ethical Standards
We need elected officials with high ethical standards who operate 100% "in the Sunshine" and welcome public input on decisions that affect us all. We must restore transparency to city operations and make budget decisions based on solid financial principles, not for political gain.

He concluded his speech by saying, "Time, Money, Votes.  If I get all three from you, you are a Rock Star."

What on Earth is happening in the sky?

This was sent to me by a cancer survivor...this is what she said about the above photo:

"I do believe in God and I do believe He surprises us with wonder if we ask. I found a sense of wonder was like sunshine to me--I needed it--so I saved little pockets of sunshine...I think of it. Like munchies for the soul--"

Windy day at Lake Osborne

For what is a relatively calm lake, today we had white caps!
62^ and wind was 32mph at 2pm--felt like 50mph
I nearly got blown away...
did not see any wildlife.

“We want those two roads to be almost like new. We don’t have the money to completely rebuild them. We can’t even fix our own streets.”

~ Michael Bornstein, City Manager of Lake Worth

Now the City of Lake Worth, spearheaded by Commissioner Amoroso who is a downtown merchant,  wants to take over Lake and Lucerne from the State and wants FDOT to spend over $3 million repairing them first! We want them in tip top shape.

My question is--why do they want to take over these roads? The downtown businesses must be putting pressure on the city. Maybe when the city owns the roads, they can kick anyone off the streets or simply close them down whenever they please just like Propaganda does on J Street or the merchants can move their tables right out to the curb.

The City of Lake Worth admits it can't take care of the roads it already owns or for that matter, anything within this 6 mile radius. Now they want these roads!  This is a city that wants to outsource our beach casino complex because they can't figure it all out and already outsourced our garbage.

Crime Lake Worth

Comment Up

Remember, it was the Vice Mayor who said in a commission meeting that crime is down! No one agrees with that, even the PBSO. This is about a week's worth of crime. What about all those who did NOT get caught?  A vehicle was stolen out of the owner's driveway in the ROLO neighborhood and it was reported that a man ran down a pedestrian in a hit and run along Lake Osborne Drive.
