Juana Cabrera Leon Guerrero, a U.S. citizen and Chief of the Northern Mariana Islands’ Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV), and Yongde “Ivan” Li, a citizen of China, were both sentenced as part of the scheme, which involved illegal immigrants paying a “street broker” up to $1,700 for a new driver’s license and $300 for a renewal, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Li paid Guerrero and others payments of $500 cash for the illegal transactions, while also providing meals and free taxi services.

Leon Guerrero was sentenced to 60 months incarceration, ordered to pay a $15,000 fine and $100 special assessment fee and serve three years of supervised release following imprisonment.

Li was sentenced to 10 months incarceration, ordered to pay $200 in special assessment fees, complete 50 hours of community service in lieu of a fine, and serve five years of supervised release following imprisonment.

The Colorado Supreme Court's decision to disqualify former President Donald Trump from next year's presidential ballot "is so anti-democratic," constitutional expert and legal scholar Alan Dershowitz told Newsmax on Wednesday.

The court's 4-3 decision Tuesday made Trump the first presidential candidate in U.S. history to be deemed ineligible for the White House under a rarely used provision of the U.S. Constitution that bars officials who have engaged in "insurrection or rebellion" from holding office.

Dershowitz, appearing on "National Report,"called the decision "absurd."

Trump has not been charged or convicted of taking part in an insurrection, a term that has not been defined legally.

The U.S. Supreme Court will rule against the Colorado decision, and with more than just a conservative majority, according to Dershowitz.

Normally, an appeal would work its way through the appellate court and finally the Supreme Court.

But the normal process would take months, even years, which would jeopardize the March 4 trial date Chutkan set and thus destroy Smith’s ability to convict and jail Trump before the election. Trump has wanted the case to get in front of the Supreme Court.

Smith then filed a motion he even called “extraordinary” asking the Supreme Court to immediately take up the case.

U.S. Steel, the Pittsburgh steel producer that played a key role in the nation’s industrialization, is being acquired by Japan’s Nippon Steel in an all-cash deal valued at approximately $14.1 billion.

The transaction is worth about $14.9 billion when including the assumption of debt.

The price tag for U.S. Steel is nearly double what was offered just four months ago by rival Cleveland Cliffs. U.S. Steel, which rejected that offer, confirmed the offering price from Nippon early Monday.

Shares of United States Steel Corp. soared more than 27 percent before the opening bell Monday.

As one person commented, "At one time Pittsburg Steel was some of the finest worldwide. It helped build America; a shame it had to be sold to a foreign nation but as our country is slowly disintegrating into a 2nd world nation everything is changing."

It was the work of Jewish artist Moses Ezekiel and was built as a memorial to reconciliation after the American Civil War. Yep, you heard that right: reconciliation, not division. But apparently, that doesn’t matter to the history-erasing brigade.

One of the videos by “military influencer” Anthony Laster described his life as having “No Privacy, The Pay Sucks, (an army private starts at $1,833/mo), Shitty Food, Disrespectful Leadership, NO SLEEP!”

A 2022 study from the Pentagon found that 77 percent of young Americans would not qualify for military service due to being overweight, using drugs, or having mental and physical health problems.

The Pentagon also discovered that only nine percent of Americans between the ages of 16-21 said they would consider military service last year, dropping 13 points from before the coronavirus pandemic.

The insurrection clause: Amendment 14 Section 3 was originally meant to punish leaders of the Confederacy by preventing them from holding office again. (The Confederacy originally broke off from the United States because they wanted to continue the practice of chattel slavery, prompting the Civil War.)

President Trump has only been accused of insurrection on January 6 by Democrats who are always shouting about "democracy". There was no due process here.
