We live in FL sunshine, so much sun, it could be used to power so much, we need to use it and use other sources less to protect our plant, makes so much sense. I am for this.

I am not for the 1% tax increase for politicians to waste our hard-earned money.

Thanks Lynn!

I could never understand after I moved here why we haven't utilized the power of the sun long ago. Then I found out that in many states it is legislated against, to keep the gravy train coming. I was astounded to hear the mantra that "in Florida we just don't have enough sunshine to make it work." Huh?? Once installed solar is free and non polluting.
And WAY overdue. It's amazing to see what a difference this has made in some very poor places with no electricity. (seen on HBO) Just one affordable cell opened the way for the people to read at night. This would also create jobs and stop the never ending spiral of higher power costs.

I voted yes. I don't see a downside. The one percent is not on the August Ballot. I think that will be an item on the General.
I vote absentee, because there are so many issues that need to be studied. I can't imagine just showing up on election day and trying to make all of those decisions. Unfortunately, the sample ballot they send out is viewed by many as just more junk mail.

I am very hesitant to vote in the county tax increase and then have at the same time a bond payment (amount unknown) for 20-30 years to the city.

Don't blame you. They will have some sort of citizen board overseeing it. What a damn joke. Will a non-elected board be accountable when there is a screw-up? How are they the least bit qualified? How will anyone have a handle where the money is spent and on whom?
Lake Worth says it will have the same thing on its general obligation bond.
At this point, I am voting NO to both.
