Lake Worth Beach Complex

All you people hell bent on destroying our beach complex and spending millions of taxpayer's dollars will love the first sentence in Kevin D. Thompson's article of May 1:
The Lake Worth Beach Complex has been a problem area for years. The pool is closed, the casino building needs work and there are traffic concerns.
The beach complex has not been a problem for years, not really. Any "problem" we have had there is the number one fault of city management. Admittedly, the casino leaks went on for years with tolling agreement after tolling agreement to get the repairs done and the proper drainage solved on the 2nd level.

City management's excuse for not renting the upstairs has always been blamed on the Casino leaks. The pool is closed because this city administration will not repair it and give excuses after excuses that it is unrepairable. People have fallen for that line even after an engineering report done by an independent well known firm says differently. Of course, a new design architectural firm, CPZ Architects who has a vested interest and the contract for design will tell you differently.

What the beach complex and park is all about is $$$$. The city can't get enough. And they won't treat this as a park, an amenity, but the city and this commission want to further commercialize it. Dollars at all costs.

We have a unique beach and a beautiful Olympic pool right on the ocean. And we are one of the few  beaches that charge for parking.
