With how many millions of illegal aliens in our country and driving vehicles on our taxpayer roads, a California law that allows immigrants with federal work permits to
receive driver's licenses will take effect January 1, 2013.
In Illinois, they are going to do the exact same thing. Supporters
said the law would be good for public safety, allowing Illinois
immigrant motorists to get tested on their driving skills and buy
insurance. According to a report by the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety, it found that one in 5 fatal traffic accidents are caused by unlicensed drivers.
When you have a federal government unwilling to secure our borders and ignores the will of the citizens it is elected to protect, changing the laws to make things easier on the illegal alien is the responsible and easier route to take?...makes sense..about as much sense as this last general election.

You need to start working for stopping human trafficking first and then this will stop illegal immigration. Human trafficking is the bigger problem here in the USA, they are enticed to come here and pay up to $10K, someone is making a lot of money, others want them here for cheap labor, but the bigger problem is human trafficking. The world might be a better place without borders and division anyway, man has created all this division and continues to do so and that is why we have all these problem nowadays anyway. Human trafficking is a big problem here in the USA and around the world, quite ironic actually.

The way to stop the human trafficking is to make a secure border that they cannot bring their human cargos across!"Good fences make good neighbors". Also illegals caught crossing our borders get food,water ,medical attention if needed and a cushy ride home to try again. Until we start treating these people like the criminals THEY ARE,and not helpless,pitiful victims, then nothing will change.
Why should Illegal Immigrants (notice the term Illegal) get the same rights and privileges that actual U.S. Citizens get? Did it suddenly become O.K. to be in this nation illegally? Have we just completely abandoned the concept of *Legal* Immigration?
This is pandering to the Hispanic voting bloc (and let's be realistic, the majority of illegal immigrants are Hispanic) so that The Most Honorable Party of Democracy can score more votes on election days.
The Title should be Those with Federal Work Permits tOo be allowed to get drivers licenses.
