The Israeli Massacre on October 7

October 7

Devastating. Brutal. Shocking. Terrifying. Anguishing. Sadistic.

There are so many words that come to mind, but still, two years later, none can adequately describe the massacre in Israel that was perpetrated by Hamas on October 7, 2023. As this brief slideshow recounts, the news that unfolded on that Black Saturday, hour by hour, forever changed our lives. It was the single deadliest day for Jews since the Holocaust. The images we saw and the trauma that we felt will never — should never — be forgotten.

In remembrance of that horrific day, Jews around the world and all decent and compassionate people, will pause to mourn those murdered, honor those who continue to bravely fight, and pray for the safe return of the hostages still held in agonizing captivity in Gaza.

Our hearts are still broken, but not our spirit.

Our slideshow reminds us that the events of that fateful day have cast a long shadow on Jewish communities around the world. But we are unbowed and more united than ever before in the fight against Jew hatred in all its evil forms — whether on the internet and social media, in our communities, on college campuses, in the halls of government, or at the United Nations.

Today, and every day, we stand in solidarity with the people of Israel and Jews worldwide.

Am Yisrael Chai.
