Senate Leadership Fund raises over $500 million to defend GOP majority in 2026 midterms

The Senate Leadership Fund and its allied groups have raised more than half a billion dollars ahead of November's midterm elections, a sum the organization calls the largest Senate campaign haul in American history.

Alex Latcham, executive director of the Senate Leadership Fund, announced the milestone in a statement to Fox News Digital, crediting Senate Majority Leader John Thune with driving the fundraising effort and previewing an aggressive advertising campaign targeting Democratic Senate candidates in five states: Alaska, Iowa, Maine, Michigan, and North Carolina.

The $500 million-plus figure covers the Senate Leadership Fund, the top GOP campaign group aligned with Thune, and its affiliated organizations. Latcham framed the war chest as both a record and a necessity, warning that Democrats under Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer want to drag the country backward.

Latcham warns Republicans cannot afford to slow down--In his statement, Latcham paired the fundraising boast with a pointed message about the stakes:
"Thanks to Leader John Thune and our generous investors, Senate Leadership Fund and its affiliated groups have raised more resources than any other Senate effort in history."
But the executive director made clear he sees no room for complacency. Latcham added:
"However, we cannot slow down as Chuck Schumer and Radical Democrats seek to take our nation back to open borders, rampant crime and crushing inflation."
