Gavin Newsom's Office Responds After Olympic Legend Speaks Out On Alleged California Fraud
Olympic bobsled gold medalist Kaillie Humphries is speaking out against California Governor Gavin Newsom following a controversial social media response to fraud allegations in the state. The friction began after Newsom’s press office used an AI-generated image to mock an independent journalist (Nick Shirley) investigating financial misconduct. Humphries, a San Diego resident and legal immigrant, argued that such apathy from leadership is unacceptable with the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics approaching.
"As a California resident, I’m deeply concerned about the reports of alleged financial fraud and Governor Newsom’s apathy to it," Humphries told Fox News. She noted that the Olympics are a multi-billion dollar event that requires substantial governmental support to run correctly. Humphries warned that without transparency, the 2028 Games could face the same bribery and corruption scandals that have tainted past host cities.
Newsom’s office dismissed the athlete’s concerns, stating they do not typically respond to commentary from individuals not directly involved in the matter. A spokesperson claimed that under the Governor’s leadership, California is leading the nation in preventing fraud and waste.
However, critics point to the administration's use of snarky social media posts as evidence of a lack of serious accountability regarding taxpayer money. [ThinkAmericana]

What bothers me most about California is that they want to promote infanticide and allow someone to kill their baby up to 28 days after it's born they're pushing this infanticide and killing newborn babies if the mother wants to. I think it's sad and sick and it just shows you how demonic and how evil the people running the state of California are and even maybe some of the people who live in California how can you support infanticide? It's really sick and sad and it's disgusting and it doesn't make me very proud of California or the people that live there!
