Commission Meeting 6-4-19

BARTON ELEMENTARY
76 Students are Homeless
21 Migrants
C School that went to a D--Now they are 6 points from a B

See the rest of this meeting below--Really impressive art by Rebecca Hinson's students at Southgrade Elementary.

At around 29 minutes, Jamie Brown gave a report on recycling.

Tammy Pansa was "right on" in her public comments regarding transparency and the lack of communication by the City.

The New Business consisted of raising the Business Tax by 5%. It passed on a 4.0 vote with little discussion. I guess the city badly needs that $30,000. The 2nd Public reading will be June 18th.

These paintings are fantastic. The teacher should get the Medal of Freedom. Are they on display in the school? Shades of Frida Kahlo. Thank you for posting. I'm very glad I took the time to look at them.

Rebecca Hinson is a huge attention hog. When she demands to see the work of other art teachers they know to run and hide. You would think that she was the only art teacher in Palm Beach county! Oh well,I guess if you don't toot your own horn, nobody else will!

Rebecca is a teacher in Lake Worth. Her kids art used to be displayed on the walls at City Hall. She would climb a ladder and post the art herself. She is bragging about her students, not herself. And I disagree with this assertion regarding Rebecca. She is proud of her kids.
