Lake Worth Beach still closed

"A health advisory continues for Lake Worth Beach due to results from testing of water samples confirming the presence of Karenia brevis (the algae that causes red tide).

Following advice from the County and State, Lake Worth staff have decided to proceed with an abundance of caution and the beach will remain closed on Thursday, October 4. All Casino Building tenants and Benny's on the Beach will remain open at this time."

Snuck out there at 5 AM and did a swim with no problem. Not going to have some government bureaucrat tell me what to do. So sorry, I'm not a sheep like you all.

Lynn, what I want to know, is what are we doing about this. We do have a state government don't we? Such reticence on the part of our leaders; as though it just happened by itself. No posts from anyone? Is it over everyone's head?

Well let's hope that you're not a sick sheep that we all have to pay to take care of. These toxins are not something to trifle with. The long term effects are totally unknown. Otherwise, why not just go and jump in a big pool of algae.

Dare I add Moron?
