Andrew Gillum BAD for Florida

Please tell me what are the arguments against single payer "government run" healthcare.
The two that come to mind are Medicare and Medicaid.
Most everyone I know who is covered by Medicare is very happy with it. Most doctors are also. There is no insurance company in the middle except for the supplements; and even a bunch of them are free to the patient.
It is reported that when you remove the insurance companies and the need for doctors to test out the kazoo to cover their ass in case a patient sues, the cost would be comparable to what we pay now or less.
Why don't we go to single payer? Because we can't afford it, that's why. And if you can't figure out whether you want SOCIALISM and larger government versus CONSERVATISM and lower taxes, then you really are in trouble. You want a state income tax?
Gillum is going to get his socialist ,corrupt ass kicked back to yesterday. It's going to be roll for both Scot and Desantis. An interesting historic fact-Christopher Columbus found the new world by following the "Vote For Nelson" signs on the beach.
Correct me if I'm wrong but wouldn't imposing a state income tax require a constitutional change with a vote of we the people?
I don't want to use the liberal argument that we already have socialism in the form of Social Security and the two medical forms that already exist. You are most likely taking advantage of both Social Security and Medicare.
While you are correct that both of these are huge governmental bureaucracies, both are looked upon favorably by the entire political spectrum. Both are by their nature.... socialist. We pay into them with taxes and draw from them when needed.
As I understand it, the government pays a certain amount directly to the doctors for a particular procedure. No insurance companies to approve or deny and scrutinize for chances of being sued. Taking the insurance industry out of the whole equation is where most of the savings would be. But yes, it would probably cost us more in relationship to our income. The government would also limit exorbitant judgments for mal-practice.
Please provide a link to changing the Constitution by a vote of the people to incorporate a state income tax. Saying Social security and Medicare is socialism is a liberal argument...false. Another argument for socialism you all use are roads, etc. etc. This guy wants to SPEND,spend and spend some more. Can't afford Gillum under any circumstances. Florida is doing great and we want to keep our state that way.
Ok.... I guess we are at the same point I reach with anyone trying to argue against single payer. The Capitalist institutions, Insurance, Lawyers, Pharmaceuticals and Hospitals could be affected. But EVERYONE would get health care. We already spend TRILLIONS when you add in the extra costs of the above mentioned politically protected industries.
It could actually cost LESS to go for single payer.
Gillum would manage somehow to get it on the ballot for a vote. I mean, afterall, there are a hell of a lot of Democrats in this state who seem to want hand-outs and single payer health-care that we can't afford.
