A source has reported that the victim has died and this has been suppressed from the news and by the City. Why? Bad PR. We haven't even heard about the 20 or so arrests on the perverts hanging out in the bathrooms at Bryant Park according to another source.
The assumption at the time of the felony battery incident was that it was a small group of homeless hanging out at the Bryant Park Pier--a homeless person brutalized by another homeless person and that our city manager now wants to find out who is feeding the homeless at Bryant Park so that the city can shut them down.
On October 9, we reported that On October 5, at about 8:15pm, a black guy pummeled a white guy while at
the pier in Bryant park. His injuries were so severe that he was taken
by Trauma Hawk to the Delray medical clinic. A Dr. Rodriguez treated him
there for facial lacerations and fractures and life threatening
Subarachnoid. No one knows the victims name. He is being referred to as
John Doe or case number 06-13-128249--felony battery.

In checking out the booking blotter, Harold Tucker's bond has now been set at $25,000 and his address was given as 100 S. Golfview Road.

I seriously doubt that the city is suppressing this news, I don't think they have the PR skills to try. We do need to as a city address the homeless problem, the church feeding, the hospital transporting them here, etc.
No one is giving any information on John Doe. There is even a new rumor going around that he is still alive. Someone made a call last week to Delray Medical Center that confirmed his death. We were told that the detective on the case is looking for John Doe's knapsack that is missing in order to identify him. Another rumor? Today I heard they found out who he was through fingerprints but they're not talking.
