Russia And China Launch Joint Patrols In Asia-Pacific Region

The ships of the Russian Navy and the People’s Liberation Army Navy of China have started joint patrolling in the Asia-Pacific region.

The naval group includes the large anti-submarine ship Admiral Tributs and the Chinese destroyer Shaoxing. They are accompanied by supply vessels from both countries.

The main goal of the patrol is to strengthen naval cooperation between Moscow and Beijing.

In addition, the crews are monitoring the maritime area and protecting maritime economic activities belonging to Russia and China.

Such joint patrols in the region have been conducted annually since 2021. They cover areas of strategic importance and take place both in neutral waters and near exclusive economic zones.
