Bill Maher Blasts Reporter for 'World Class Hater' Post About Trump
“Overtime” host Bill Maher didn’t hold back Friday night when he called out former ABC News reporter Terry Moran. Maher was stunned by Moran’s social media rant targeting President Donald Trump and White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller. The longtime journalist had posted that both men were “world-class” haters before deleting the message."This guy's a reporter, what the f---?" Maher said on his “Overtime” segment. Guest Ian Bremmer agreed, saying there are "lots of jobs" where you can post something like that — “journalism is not one of them.” Maher said he expected Moran to be impartial, not emotional.
"Lots of jobs you can have and do that, that is the one job I'm looking at you to be impartial, just give me the facts, I don't need to know this from you, Terry Moran," Maher said. He went on to quote the now-deleted post. "Miller is a man who is richly endowed with a capacity for hatred… he eats his hate."
ABC News initially suspended Moran over the post but ultimately let him go. “We are at the end of our agreement with Terry Moran… we have made the decision to not renew,” a spokesperson told Fox News Digital. “At ABC News, we hold all of our reporters to the highest standards of objectivity, fairness and professionalism.”
