Following the shooting at Donald Trump's Pennsylvania rally on Saturday, July 13, Kid Rock came out in support of the former US President, donating $50,000 to the Trump-authorized GoFundMe to benefit the shooting victims.

While Trump survived the assassination attempt, coming out of the incident with a bullet wound to his right ear, one of the people who went to the rally passed away, while two were critically injured.

Following the incident, the former President's reelection campaign shared a GoFundMe drive with a goal to raise $1 million for the "supporters and families wounded or killed in today's brutal and horrific assassination attempt." Trump's leading finance person, Meredith O'Rourke, was listed as the fundraising organizer.

Although the initial goal of the fundraiser was only $1 million, the GoFundMe drive has surpassed $4 million, with over 33 thousand pledges in 24 hours.

Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla.), one of the wealthiest members of the Senate, has joined music star Kid Rock and fight promoter Dana White in donating $50,000 to the GoFundMe campaign set up to the victims of the shooting at Donald Trump’s rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
