The city is generally silent when it comes to telling you what the projects will cost when using your tax dollars. If you recall, the 2 inch watermains were to be replaced in the General Obligation Bond because the city wanted to grab your cash, all $63.5 million of it. Somehow they came up with the money--
The schedule for this replacement work is District 4, 3, 2 and 1.
- Alley water piping construction cost: $6,545,000;
- Easement water piping construction cost: $5,490,000;
- Road water piping construction cost: $1,566,000;
- Engineering/survey: $2,460,000;
- Loan fees and Reserves: $746,000--
