Mess of the Week in Lake Worth

Comment Up

I know--a lot of you like to read all the warm and fuzzy stuff. However, if we don't continue to bring attention to the rule violators in our city, the mess will continue, escalate and before long, the entire city will be blighted and abused by people who just don't give a hot damn.

This is the third Mess of the Week. This house is in the 400 block of Wright Drive--has housed a boat and trailer on its front yard for at least one year.

Boats may be stored temporarily in residential districts but they must be stored to the rear of the front building line and visually buffered by a wood privacy fence, masonry wall, trees or shrubs at a 6 foot height.

This owner needs to obey our Code and move his boat to a storage facility although I have no idea if he has been contacted by code enforcement. If you make a complaint on-line, be sure to follow-up. They "lost" this complaint.

This is a total disregard for neighbors and the owner needs to be fined.
