Supreme Court to hear Redistricting Argument

Supreme Court Rehearing Could End VRA Section 2, Allow GOP to Redraw 19 House Seats

In the high-stakes chess match of American politics, the Democrats have been playing with weighted dice for decades. They’ve carved up congressional districts like a Thanksgiving turkey, slicing communities along racial lines while crying “voting rights” whenever anyone questioned their handiwork.

For years, Republicans have watched this systematic manipulation of the electoral map, forced to compete on an uneven playing field where Democrat-friendly courts blessed racial gerrymandering as somehow necessary for democracy. But the game board is about to be flipped.

The political establishment has grown comfortable with this arrangement. Democrats have wielded the Voting Rights Act like a sword, using its provisions to create safe seats for their party while claiming moral high ground.

They’ve painted any challenge to this system as an attack on minority voters, even as they cynically packed and cracked communities to maximize their political power.

Meanwhile, establishment Republicans often accepted this status quo, too timid to challenge what many legal scholars have long recognized as a perversion of the law’s original intent.

Yet something remarkable is brewing in the marble halls of the Supreme Court
