Residents press Lake Worth Beach leaders to take stance on PBSO's cooperation with ICE
WPTV's Vannia Joseph is digging into a special commission meeting where dozens of residents called on leaders to address what they described as growing fear in their communityImmigration concerns are once again taking center stage in Lake Worth Beach, where residents are urging city leaders to take a clear stance on the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office's (PBSO) cooperation with federal immigration authorities.
Commissioners agreed that children are among those most deeply affected, but Mayor Betty Resch told residents her authority is limited.
"No matter what I feel about what's going on out there, as the mayor, as a city official, I cannot tell the sheriff's office not to follow the law," Resch said.
PBSO Captain said that there are designated deputies handling these specific cases and emphasized that PBSO is not conducting raids, targeting, or racially profiling people.
The only one who was not set-up to speak against ICE by the anarchists in our city was our friend, Dan Volker who supports the America First agenda. All the rest of the speakers spoke out against following the law and voiced their support for illegals.

Almost to a person, each of the anti-ICE people in the room spoke about how nice the illegal migrants were, how hard working they were, and how they had kids and they were neighbors. ( they were there because they had been MOBILIZED by a special interest Call to Action on Social Media...FACT! I saw it...) ..You could take a population of hard working drug dealers that were nice people ( there actually is such a subset--like the ones selling in colleges) and you could say they were nice, that they had families, and that they had great work ethics, and that most are find of them as neighbors ---but the thing is, they are a criminal group. Period. And so the Illegal Migrants are criminal invaders that breached our border. They came in arm and arm with dangerous drug dealers and sex traffickers, and yes, some seem to be quite nice people for being criminals. The special interest group attendees to the town meeting would call these illegal migrants "Undocumented", which is a fraudulent misrepresentation of what these people are, and the majority of voters in Lake Worth SHOULD NOT STAND for allowing the criminals to be called "undocumented". This is BS and part of the Marxist propaganda of the leftist news media--the same group that distributed the biggest lie in America history--the one about Biden being a competent President, when in fact there were dozens if not hundreds of non-elected people making presidential decrees with the autopen, right under the nose of the mainstream media--and they did not want to expose this truth--they covered it up. Again, the big lie from this town meeting---that there are nice "undocumented" people being taken by ICE. NO!!! ICE is rounding up illegal criminals, and helping the Sheriffs office in getting criminals out of our neighborhoods....this both the good mannered criminals, and the vicious drug dealers and sex trade elements we need to be rid of. Do not allow this fraud to continue.
Let ice do it's job in little Guatemala clean lwb up!
Well even ABC channel 25 won't use the term illegal immigrant in this county , that news is so woke, the worst!
The Mayor was very careful in her reply as she says she is running for a third term.
Do me a favor and take a ride from the 800 block to the 1300 block of S. Lakeside Drive. 3 weeks ago, these were bustling construction sites with single multi-million-dollar homes (one home on each site) and now there is nothing going on. 3 weeks ago, the workers disappeared. Unless you really hate rich
people, this is a sorry sight. Wouldn't it be better to get these essential workers registered, so they can do a day's work, where it is needed, than to have them hiding in plain sight. We don't have enough people to do this work at any price. This is going to be the ultimate result anyway, so why put everybody through the ag.
@7:30--Some argue that illegals fill vital labor gaps, particularly in the agricultural, construction and service sectors, and that their presence is essential for the economy. Illegal is just that--ILLEGAL. What about hiring Americans? Why do you all give excuses for the illegal who has no business being here in the first place. You either have laws or you are a lawless country.
But despite the danger, religious leaders and faith activists have been a visible presence at the protests, some waving signs with slogans such as “Love thy neighbor” and “Who would Jesus deport?” Many argue they are compelled by their religious beliefs to advocate for immigrants, but as officers continue to respond with violence, some claim their religious freedom is increasingly at risk — even, they say, as the pray for the souls of ICE agents.
“One of the chants that has become ubiquitous at these protests at Broadview is, ‘Love your neighbor, love your God, save your soul and quit your job,’” said Black, who pastors at the First Presbyterian Church of Chicago. “Everybody chants that.”
Who would you suggest, Lynn? The Homeless? They're Americans!
First, it is a LIE and fraud to call them "essential workers" ----they are criminals hired because they would work at wages well below what legal workers would demand. And when contractors get used to the local government looking the other way and allowing criminals to do construction jobs at indentured servant level wages---they bid jobs assuming that they can pay ridiculously low wages for many of their workers---and when suddenly the LAW removes the illegals--the criminals, then you have homes like these bid to be completed for less money than they could legally be built for, without the contractor taking big losses. And here we are. Like the Chinese Railroad workers in the mid 1800's, the illegals here displaced the legal workers before them. Palm Beach got along just fine for the last hundred years of construction without huge numbers of illegals to do the work---the migrant invasion caused by Biden et al made some very rich people get much richer, and it stole the livelihoods of thousands of local workers that were legal--stole by undercutting their pay, and then priced them out of the rental market as the illegal masses moved in. Anyone that says we don't have enough workers is a liar or a fool, or they are on the OPPOSITE SIDE of the legal American working class. If the jobs offered fair wages, we would have plenty of workers. Fair happens to be what you pay to get people to want to work the job. Getting illegals in to work cheaper is a crime, whether prosecuted or not.
@9:31pm...We are talking about illegal aliens here, not homeless Americans. I realize that is something Democrats just don't comprehend or refuse to, would be more accurate. The homeless problem mainly is caused by mental health issues and substance abuse, another topic entirely.
Find 150 Americans to work on the 3 construction sites on S. Lakeside, and congratulate you on a job well done!
@3:50...why don't the advertise for workers?
Do all legally, all need to pay taxes!
I would say that since they are working for big construction companies, they pay taxes. I don't really know how that works.
@4:27...Florida law strictly prohibits knowingly hiring, recruiting, or referring unauthorized aliens for employment and imposes stiff penalties on employers who violate these rules. The rules were significantly expanded under Florida Senate Bill 1718, which took effect on July 1, 2023.
As I ride past the Cultural Plaza every day, I don't see any men there who resemble Central Americans. Just Black people and White people.
I don't know what country your ancestors came from Dan, but when my father came here, they hated Germans. Then, they hated Italians, and they also hated the Irish. Of course, they always hated the Jews. Let's give it a rest!
@4:29...Perhaps Hispanics hang out somewhere else as the biggest percentage of people who live in our city are Hispanics.
@4:33...Democrats hate everyone..was he a Democrat? LOL
I dont see ethnicity...I think it is BS. I see Americans ---and in this context, I see non-American illegals. I also see law abiding family people, and I see people that accept crime and claim excuses for it.
