Car hit by train in Lake Worth
Yesterday around 4:50 p.m., a driver, blinded by the sun, turned onto the train tracks instead of the I-95 on ramp.According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, the driver saw the oncoming train but was unable to move the car so she exited the vehicle.
The northbound train slowed, but struck the unoccupied car. The car was removed and railroad inspectors completed their investigation of the incident at 6th Ave South. [WPEC 12]

Sun in your eyes going west can be a big problem. Especially at the time this driver experienced the oncoming train. The good news is that the driver had the presence of mind to exit the car. Another person might have been paralyzed by fear.
It's unfortunate that there doesn't seem to be a solution to this problem.
