Putin Says Ballistic Missile Test Should Serve As A Warning

"Russia’s military conducted an intercontinental ballistic missile test Wednesday, and President Vladimir Putin warned the launch would “provide food for thought for those who … try to threaten our country.”

“This truly unique weapon will strengthen the combat potential of our armed forces, reliably ensure Russia’s security from external threats and provide food for thought for those who, in the heat of frenzied aggressive rhetoric, try to threaten our country,” Putin said.

Russia did appropriately notify the United States ahead of the test on Wednesday, according to Pentagon spokesman John Kirby."
