Horrifying Moment Four Americans are Kidnapped After Crossing US-Mexico Border

Distressing video footage captured the terrifying moment four Americans were loaded into the flatbed of a pickup truck after they were fired at and abducted in Mexico.

Two of the four Americans kidnapped in Mexico have been found dead, while the other two were rescued alive, officials announced Tuesday.

The survivors -- Eric James Williams and Latavia "Tay" McGee -- have returned to the U.S., their families said. Matamoros is located in one of the six Mexican states the U.S. Department of State currently has listed under its most severe ‘do not travel’ category, due to local cartels that may rob and/or abduct American tourists.

At least 1,271 people were kidnapped in Mexico in 2022, according to Alto al Secuestro, an organization that issues support for victims of kidnappings.
