The Worst Vote ever In Lake Worth
According to Wikipedia, Lake Worth Beach has a population of 42,219. So,3.94% of our population decided that I can't vote for all the commissioners who represent the 6 square miles of our City--commissioners who make policy and who raise our taxes.

Once the Commission certifies the results of the election tomorrow night, McVoy will be sworn in and the ballot-question items will become effective.
Doesn't that mean that only those who live in District 4 can vote in the run-off next Tuesday?
Methinks it does.
How can they certify the election if there is a runoff election??
As I had previously stated: Either the questions were not understood, or they didn't read them.
Based on the numbers of people who voted, it seems that only the Spanish speaking folks in the city voted, which is to their credit.
It's not their fault if the rest of the city is too stupid to vote.
How convenient - they are always one step ahead.
What does the above post mean? McVoy was sworn in last year.
Well, this is what I mean...a lot of uninformed voters. We are talking about District by District voting...but you know that.

There was more than just the District 4 race on the ballot. There were 4 ballot questions, all of which passed.
McVoy won by default, as he was uncontested, but still needs to be sworn in for a new term.
The ballot initiatives will go live as soon as the Commission certifies the results of the election. (See above)
That being the case, single-district voting will be active and only those registered voters in District 4 be allowed to vote in next Tuesday's run-off.
Let your Commissioner and the Mayor know how you feel now.

Good morning.
The run-off is a continuation of the general election and voting will be city-wide. District voting will begin with the next election. The commission and city attorney made it very clear at the November 2, 2021 meeting that it would go into effect in 2024.

If McVoy won in March 2021, what does he have to do with this? I thought this election was to replace Herman.

Omari Hardy stepped down to run for state rep. The commission filled his spot for several months (I think it was about 4) by appointing Carla Blockson. After that initial Hardy term was up, McVoy ran against Carla and won.
He was up for re-election this time but had no opponent so he was automatically elected.
But I thought this election was between Martin, Diaz, and Frost. McVoy was not on the ballot.
@1:05...He automatically became commissioner ad he had no opponent. It has nothing to do with McVoy
