In Memory
James E. Addison
Kevin's father, Jimmy Addison, was a lovely man who cared deeply about Lake Worth. He had lived here most of his life. A graduate of Lake Worth High in 1953, he came to all of the fundraising events and was a lifetime member of the Alumni Association.
I learned he passed yesterday. He was in Hospice care and living with his daughter in Atlantis. Occasionally he would speak in front of the city commission, walking slowly to the lectern. One memory I have of him was when he was talking in front of the Clemens commission after the CRA had spent $5.8 million dollars on 6th Avenue South in order to attract development. The Gateways were Clemen's claim to fame when he was chair of the CRA. Mr. Addison said that the road looked like sh*t. He was immediately ejected from the meeting.
But he never was ejected from the hearts and minds of his friends who cared about and loved him. He will be greatly missed.

Awwww what a loss!
I hope Kevin is doing ok.
He was a very nice man who got disgusted with the politics in our city but it all couldn't keep him away. R.I.P. Mr. Addison.
So sorry to hear this. He was one of the great old-timers who were really the heart of this city. May God be with his family.
I wish I could "like" all of the above. He was a sweetheart. It's strange to know he is gone and so sad. He took a bad fall several months ago and never recovered.
Mr. Addison was one of this city’s original treasures and we will dearly miss him. May the Lord watch over Kevin and his family and keep them in His care.
Rest in peace ,Mr. Addison. Our prayers to his family. He will be sorely missed !
