South J Street and Lake Avenue
This hole in the wall has been there way too long. Has the city opened a code file on this property? Jolanda with Code compliance is driving by there today to take a look and will check to see exactly what property it is owned by Cimaglia Holdings (they own several) and open a code file if necessary. This is the same property that had graffiti for eons and it took Katie McGiveron of the ROLOH neighborhood to paint it over as the city wouldn't do it nor would the PBSO graffiti team.
It really doesn't take a village all of the time--just one good person on top of stuff.

Just tried to call Andy Amaroso to complain about all of the crappy panhandlers, and guess what? Good old Andy is in Washington D.C. for a week! So much for representing the people!
Not holding my breath, code does nothing. Those new ordinances everyone keeps talking about, well so far they have ignored our request for a code case on a problem property near our rental.
Katie, no disrespect, but after all your tirades toward the commission did you really expect to partner with them.
Hopefully Katie will see your comment at 7:29 but you really have it all wrong. The commission has shown disrespect to Katie, not just on this issue. They really should represent all of the people here, not just their friends. She voted for all of them on top of their neglect here. They are not dictators and therefore need to be able to handle the job and all it entails, criticism to boot.
The city shows disrespect for 90% of the people who are seeking assistance from the City. How is it respectful to ignore for years your citizens who ask for assistance from Code, from PBSO, from Street dept., etc.

I didn't volunteer to clean up graffiti around town to "partner" with anybody. I volunteered to clean up the graffiti because it needs to be cleaned up. Unlike Wes, Peggy, and the rest of the kiss ass gang, I'm not doing it out of some twisted need to get a pat on the head from City officials. Katie Mcgiveron
