Animal Care and Control just put out the press release listed below. Of course, they just killed a perfectly wonderful dog, Buddy, after having him for only 3 days. So if you want to save a pet from the same horrible fate, please adopt and take it out of the hands of these people.

Adoptions
In honor of the Fourth of July,
Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control is holding its second annual Freedom
Party. All pet adoptions at the main shelter are only $4 through July
3.
Whether you’re looking for a dog or
cat, rabbit or guinea pig, your new best friend is waiting for you at Animal
Care and Control.
There is a limit of one adoption
per family at the promotional price. All adoptions will ensure your new pet is
spayed/neutered, micro chipped and current on vaccinations. Save a life -- opt
to adopt!

This is great! I am glad to hear they are doing this, great idea and we need to be kind to pets. St. Francis of Assisi would love this.
As tragic is was for the wonderful pup that was found in the west side of town (Lake Worth) and may that boy be where ever is a peaceful place for him....I hope that everyone understands that this low rate for adoption will help other pets and as I call them, members of the family, from being put down.
Please if you ever considered a pet please adopt tomorrow or any day that you can!
