The Post endorsed Amoroso. They got that one wrong as it has turned out.

I am afraid that the Post and some in Lake Worth have it all wrong. Stanton may have been good at her no-nonsense ways of getting things done, but she did it in a away that was mean spirited and hateful, she was unkind and too top down, her taxes and assessments, her bossiness, she was not right for Lake Worth and we need to applaud the commission for taking the steps finally for dismissing her, it was way over due. The Post and this author do not even live in this city, they are just filling space in their paper. Did they ever meet her or know the real Stanton? We are all lucky she will not be here any more treating people like crap, we do not need more of her negativity.

Each extreme side is corrupt. There can never be a happy medium in this City--it will never happen. Here you had the Cara Jennings crowd and now you have the Maxwell side. Each undesirable in many respects. This is a totally dysfunctional city controlled by one extreme or the other.

I agree Lyn but this side is by far not up to the job.

The Post can say what they want, but anyone who lives, works, or does business in LW or who has ever set foot in City Hall knows it was the right decision and the right thing to do. I feel bad for Susan and agree this City's politics can be "toxic" but she really didn't do anything to make her situation better. She was simply a HORRIBLE person to deal with. Timing was a little questionable, but the sooner the better. Good luck in the future Susan.

8:30 am Bill You stated, ‘but she did it in a away that was mean spirited and hateful, she was unkind’ and ‘she will not be here any more treating people like crap, we do not need more of her negativity’. You also mentioned bossiness. Does Commissioner Maxwell have any (or should I say ‘all’) of the qualities you dislike?

I believe that we have finally started to reach a balance between the naked chicken people and the growth whores. It is up to us,the real bosses of Lake Worth, to state in no uncertain terms to our Commissioners what we expect of them.
