Snowy Day in upstate New York

Snow covered hill adjacent to Margaret's house

We've been reading about the blizzard in the northeast and admit to ourselves that we are lucky to live in a tropical paradise. The only thing we worry about is the occasional hurricane.

The blizzard didn't hit blogger, Margaret Menge, who is in upstate New York. When asked, Margaret replied, "It's a gorgeous day,...in the arctic! It's very cold. Gusts of wind are blowing the top layer of powder into the air. We have about 10-12 inches of snow in the front yard. There was a snowdrift about 2 feet tall on the top of my car. Not a big deal. We have power, and the plows cleared the roads this morning while we slept. So all is well."
