Award Winner - Lake Worth Street Sweeper

Comment Up
No one can say that we don't have "purty" trucks.
This is just another one in our inventory
Award Winner

It's always nice to be a winner and the Lake Worth City Commission and City Manager are striving for that in every thing that they do.

We keep hearing negative stuff from a few in our City especially a few of the candidates (Ramiccio and Maxwell) who are running for Mayor. But pay no attention. We are moving forward in every aspect--from our beach redevelopment, our Reverse Osmosis Plant and top notch employees who are taking pride in their work. Employees from our Executive Assistant, our Golf Course Manager, the Assistant to the City Manager, our Information Clerk to our Finance Department--you name them, they are the best.

This City Commission is the one that started a Marketing & Branding Task Force that will put Lake Worth in a good light and will give us all a sense of pride in our community and will get us ready for our Centennial. This award from Fleet Owner Magazine is just another way of doing that and it got national exposure.

The City Manager says,
"The City purchased a much needed 2nd street sweeper truck to be added to its truck fleet. This new Sweeper truck will aid in maintaining City streets and keeping stormwater drains clean. It will also be used in the City's severe storm readiness program. The Truck is being graphically wrapped to coordinate with the the City's first street sweeper truck currently in use.

In April 2011, pictures of the now familiar first street sweeper truck were submitted to Fleet Owner Magazine to compete in its nationwide "Vehicle Graphics Award" program. In the June 2011 edition of Fleet Owner Magazine, the Editors Choice for outstanding vehicle graphic designs and color schemes were announced and the City's sweeper was included in the Awards."

  2. Don't know about that. We are talking about taking pride in our community. We are talking about image building. Heard about a woman on 10th and J that got shot and killed though.

  4. Agreed. Let's hear about all the positive things that Lake Worth is doing. If you listen to the tortuous twosome, no one would want to live here and probably would slit their wrists.

  5. You negative attack dogs make up stuff as you go along. NO street sweeper hit anyone but when they went by J ST and killed that woman, you are lucky that they didn't turn turn around and head toward punkville and looked you up.
