Talking about Transportation and Safety, candidate for Mayor, Rachel Waterman, met some Seniors who live at The Lake Worth Towers.
Seniors are people who actually get out there and vote. They have special needs and concerns and they are often forgotten by elected officials-- that is certainly true of past politicians in this city. Eliminating Molly the Trolley, their only means of affordable transportation; eliminating their local Senior Center where they could get a hot meal; and now going to jack hammer their shuffle board courts, courts used by those Seniors still in good physical shape who could exercise and have a quality of life.
Seniors are 14% of our population. Let's not forget them or the politicians who want to help them when you go into that voting booth on June 28.
Did Rachel inform everyone in attendance that her main supporters, Jennings and Golden voted to take their shuffleboard courts away for the illegal center, eliminated the trolley because they couldn't think of any ways of increasing revenue, and the current BCE let the city manager jackhammer their building without a discussion or vote from residents? That would be important information for these voters to know and frankly I'm shocked you left such important information out of your blog.
ReplyDeletePerhaps if it was Maxwell or Rammiccio you would have a crawl on the top of the page for the next couple of weeks.
Actually, it was THIS commission that got rid of the Mentoring Center. It was NOT this Commission that got rid of the trolley. It is this commission, however, that has not fought to keep the shuffleboard courts at the shuffleboard Court building. They have not been removed yet. Joe Kroll wants them out. Isn't he one of your favorites? The building is NOT being jackhammered. It has been fixed and refurbished for city use.
ReplyDeletePLEASE, whatever you do, stop spreading things that are FALSE. You would do all of us a very big favor if you just would not listen to false prophets who come knocking on your door. If you think something is outrageous, then it probably is. Stop saying it over here.
Hey Punk posting as anony- Go back to the NY hood. Go bully someone else today.
ReplyDeleteMy my, look at how conservatively Ms. Waterman is dressed. Right down tot he pearl necklace and pearl earrings. She looks just like one of us, doesn't she? Yes, I believe she'll bring back Molly the Trolley that I used to ride to the shuffleboard courts every day. Me and the other 5 people who were in attendance when she spoke at the Lake Worth Towers. Oh darn, some of those people were just there eating breakfast and were not there to listen to her.
ReplyDeleteAnd to the punk that called some other punk a punk, just come down here to the towers and we'll show you what a walker party is.
Do you wear pearl earrings in both ears or only one, punk. :) The "walker party" was funny though.
ReplyDeleteThe photo there was the one I took at the beginning of the meet. I had other business but Waterman was there for one more hour after that. People stroll in at Senior facilities. Do you have something against Seniors?
I don't know what it is with you punks, a very good word describing what you are, but can't you ever be up-beat about anything good happening in Lake Worth? Is it always negative and doom? Please let me know who you are so that I can steer away from you. bad vibes. I am one of these active seniors and probably can beat most of you at just about anything. I love this city and want to vote for positive people who don't want to mess with my city.

What would be great if Maxwell and Ramiccio both come to a screeching halt over the next week. Maxwell is hiding her contributions until the last minute and Ramiccio will get all that Republican money trying to influence our election. People unite.
