District 89

Comment Up

This District is now down to two announced candidates running for Mary Brandenburg’s seat in the Florida Legislature as Elissa Pearl formally dropped out to run for Jess Santamaria’s County Commission seat. Good luck, Elissa. Everyone loves Jess.

We now have Electrical Engineer Pete Brandenburg, Mary’s husband, and her former Aide, Mayor Jeff Clemens running. Mary and her husband have been together ever since they met in college. Pete has held no political office but he comes to the table with a lifetime of experience just being with Mary through her entire political career. It all rubs off. Jeff, on the other hand, has held the elected position of Mayor of Lake Worth, is personable, knowledgeable and is driven.

This will be an interesting race: name recognition or a great glossy. Any bets?

  1. Mary's husband will win. People will just see her name and that will be it. 67% to 33%

  2. Jeff can claim never to have proposed a project that would bring revenue.HE WOULD NOT KNOW ONE!
Voted consistently TO GIVE SPECULATOR Greater Bay, without due diligence,no finances,VIOLATIONS OF CONTRACT, and 9 pages of judgements, our Public Beach for 43 years without revenue for our City, the road to our bankruptcy!
    Responsibility for what????

He voted to give our Central Downtown parking lot(L street)for same speculator for $524.000 and replaced it at our expense for $1.400.000.-
His CRA gave Lucerne 10 years tax exemption! Trust him with what?
He blocked the Citizens from separating from most expensive electric source,FMPA to stick them with CRUEL hardship
It cost us $200.000.- top-consultants fees proof of overcharges to convince him to agree. He is against everything which would create revenue for Lake Worth, does not know how to, and anything to improve Lake Worth Citizens quality of life.
HIS BIGGEST ACHIEVEMENTS ,OUR LOSS OF OUR L.W.POLICE DEPT., FIRE DEPT. AND ASTILL TRYING TO GIVE OUR PURE R.O. WELLS DRINKING WATER TO THE COUNTY FOR THE IMPOSSIBLE,A GOOD POLITICAL IMPRESSION(KISS A.....)because of indifferent, careless mismanagement of our finances.
A City is created to provide Citizen taxpayers services(Mayor of Long Boat Key explained), he gave away all of them at enormous finacial loss to Lake Worth, because he does not maintain anything. We now have taxation without representation.

    He is running..........out of town?

  3. Brandenburg's husband running for her seat is just wrong and creepy. Do they have any kids that can take over after Hubby is done(or in jail, like most elected officials )? Maybe they can keep feeding at the Govt. trough for years to come.I'm voting for Jeff !
