Calling President Trump a "Nazi" is historically illiterate

Dan Volker
Lake Worth Beach

An elected official calling Trump a Nazi or fascist is not only historically illiterate, it’s a deliberate smear designed to delegitimize the opponents of the liberal democrats. The real authoritarian impulse in America today comes from the left, which seeks to silence dissent, weaponize institutions, and destabilize the military by suggesting they should disobey lawful orders.

The official has invoked Judgment at Nuremberg (1961) to argue that American soldiers should refuse Trump’s orders if they “think” they are illegal. Let’s analyze this:

There has never been a single documented case of Trump issuing an illegal order to the military. Zero. None.

Implication:
By telling soldiers to second-guess lawful commands, Democrats are undermining military cohesion and discipline. That is dangerous, destabilizing, and traitorous in nature.

Historical distortion:
Comparing Trump to Hitler is absurd. Hitler rose to power by crushing opposition, censoring speech, and weaponizing state institutions against political enemies. Ironically, those are tactics increasingly embraced by the American left.

Why the “Trump-as-Fascist” Narrative Fails:
Fascism is leftist in origin. Mussolini was a socialist before founding fascism. Hitler’s Nazi Party was the National Socialist German Workers’ Party. These movements centralized power, suppressed free markets, and demanded ideological conformity. Trump’s policies are the opposite.

Deregulation, tax cuts, decentralization of power, and a push for national sovereignty are not fascist—they are conservative. Who’s acting like 1930s fascists today? It’s the left:

Silencing dissent through cancel culture.
Using media and academia as propaganda arms.
Weaponizing the DOJ and FBI against political opponents.
Encouraging mobs to intimidate and suppress speech.
The Treasonous Nature of Mislabeling

Calling Trump “Hitler” isn’t just a lie—it’s a deliberate attempt to delegitimize elections and destabilize the republic. When leaders tell the military to disobey lawful orders, they are encouraging insubordination and chaos. That is not “resistance.” That is sabotage.

Historical inversion:
In Nazi Germany, the military was ordered to obey illegal commands without question. In America today, Democrats are telling soldiers to disobey legal commands if they don’t like the politics. That’s not protecting democracy—it’s undermining it.

Moral bankruptcy:
Equating Trump supporters (MAGA) with Nazis is a slander against millions of patriotic Americans who simply want secure borders, economic growth, and constitutional freedoms. Trump is not Hitler. MAGA is not fascism.

The left’s constant Nazi comparisons are historically ignorant, morally bankrupt, and politically dangerous. They invert reality: the authoritarian impulse is coming from the left, not the right. And when an lected official tells soldiers to disobey lawful orders, that’s not “progressive.” That’s traitorous.

Facts don’t care about liberal feelings. And the fact is: calling Trump a Nazi is a lie designed to destabilize America, while the real fascist behavior is being carried out by the very people making that accusation.

  2. Dan should interview the hundreds of federal employees who have been fired since Trump took office because of their perceived "dissent" and then decide which party is trying to silence dissent.

When the left decides to try to violently overturn an election by attacking the U.S. Capitol Building, I'll worry about them as much as I do about the MAGA movement. Until then, rhetoric about the left's attempts to destabilize America, especially coming from MAGAs, is meaningless.

  3. Well, when you stop your organized protest with foreign money from globalists and communists, like the NO Kings that occurred to drum up hate and violence against a sitting president, then we might talk. No kings had millions; Jan 6 had about 1500 grassroot people who were later pardoned by Trump.

  4. To anon @ 8:31.... When America as a nation, decided to VOTE MAGA, and elected Donald Trump, this was a majority action to terminate the Deep State. A huge component of the "Deep State" has been the deeply embedded Federal employees that follow the will of the globalists, and these people were NOT elected by the American people--they were hired primarily by Deep State controlled politicians, and America has made it clear it wants to get rid of these deep state federal employees. Again, the last election made this very clear, even to liberals. If I had a Chinese agent of the CCP as an employee in my Energy company, the moment I knew that this is what they were, they would be fired, and ideally I would begin a prosecution against them. This is the same issue. On the separate note of the Faked Assault on the Capitol on Jan 6th, this is well known to have been orchestrated by the people running the Biden Whitehouse, with the assistance of the FBI and other deep state agencies. This is weaponization by the Democrat party on the scale of the weaponization of the legal system and of government that took place in the 1930's by the National Socialist German Workers' Party -- otherwise understood to be the Fascists that took over Germany and supported Hitler. Look at the undisputable facts--- in the history of America, till the Biden whitehouse there had never been an elected president that became mentally incompetent ( as did Biden), with dozens of non-elected individuals given free reign of the Autopen, and the actual control of America was not of a President, but by non-elected people--this was the shutdown of American Democracy, protected and covered by a propaganda media more disgusting and more powerful than the propaganda machine of Nazi Germany. These same non-elected enemies of American Culture--globalists, decided to open America's borders and allow millions of illegal aliens and criminals into America, with the criminals and mass numbers of migrants covering the entrance of tens of thousands of enemy combatants. We were invaded, and enemies inside our own gate, controlling the Democrat party, made this happen. And while top ranking Democrats called Joe as sharp as a tack, and impossible to keep up with, the sad truth is that this man had advanced dementia, he soiled himself daily and needed diapers, and he had to be led around so that he would not get lost during most daily activities. Liberals screaming about Jan 6th would have been shut down long ago if the Fascist propaganda machine of our Mainstream News media was not supporting this treasonous lie.

    1. See, here's Looney Dan making excuses for the MAGA J6ers. Things rattle around in Dan's head after he reads his conspiracy theories and watches Newsmax and then he regurgitates them in his manuscripts. Dan is going to do something one day and we'll look back at his lunatic comments and all say we should have said something to someone about what a loon he is.

    2. And what about Looney Democrats making excuses for sin and killing babies and allowing abortion? Democrats care more about saving rescue dogs than they care about human beings and babies in the womb! What about that where's your logic there? Low IQ dems!

  7. A good portion of the federal workers are just not needed. Like HAL in 2001 a Space odyssey , this federal blob exists to serve and protect itself. The good of the country is the last thing on it's mind. This administration was given a mandate to cut the waste that has become the hallmark of the Federal system. President Trump made no secret that he wanted to slash the federal work force.

  8. @5:04...Dan Volker is one of the most intelligent people I have ever known. That's a fact. You have nothing to offer him in a debate on the facts...just personal attacks and smears that you have invented. Democrats do that and all you do as an anonymous poster is facilitate malicious attacks with no intent of engaging in any intelligent discussion. I guess it makes you feel good as a troll...so sad.

    ReplyDelete
  9. anon@5:04.....What we have here is yet another dem that "can't see the forest for the trees". You cling to the fake news and weaponized Fascist actions taken by Biden WH operatives for the JAN 6th False Flag event....and yet....you can't wrap your mind around how a mentally incompetent Joe Biden was being used by the people controlling the democrat party, for a "Weekend at Bernies" level pretense that America had a functioning president, during which for over 2 years they --these unelected usurpers of the American presidency, Autopenned their way to destroying American Democracy for their own agendas.....and Dems like you refuse to see this 900 pound gorilla in the room. If you can't discuss the biggest lie and fraud that has ever occurred in the Whitehouse, and the suspension of Democracy orchestrated by the Democrat Party and the propaganda media, then you have no right to discuss anything else politically related. How about we talk about this in person, at a coffee place of your choosing in town? I prefer speaking with real people, rather than what could be a bot, or someone that is just an internet troll.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Are you a bot, Dan? How do I know that you're the same Dan Volker that I saw identifying himself and giving his address at the commission meeting? You could be any guy using Dan Volker's identity. I don't know.

You're a f-ing loon, Dan. A loon who has threatened to go down to the local coffee shop and throw all the liberals there out into the street. You need help. Why the hell would I agree to meet with a violent loon who actually should be referred to the local police so they can determine whether he's a threat to anyone?

You talk in circles, you talk in gibberish and you have a million conspiracy theories rattling around your big, block head. You need to get some help, Dan.

    ReplyDelete
  11. @2:48...I think you should report to the local police as you have threatened. They would consider you a nut job. This is slanderous calling someone a "violent loon" and you could be sued. Identify yourself. But no, you are gutless...just a masked troll behind your computer attacking people who don't believe in your anti-American socialist BS politics.

    ReplyDelete
  12. to coward afraid to use their own name at 2:48.....You are making up things like a crazy person because they sound good to you---but only truth matters, and only words from people willing to show their face will matter--and clearly, YOU DON'T MATTER. And anyone reading my posts with average intelligence, or better, will know that I am not threatening people in coffee shops...and what you SHOULD KNOW is that even people I disagree with strongly, who stand for things I hate--like Chris McVoy does, have felt extremely comfortable having coffee with me in town, in the past... I behave to the letter of the law, and I believe political discussion in person should be polite and enjoyable for both sides. Too bad you are unwilling to be a real person that could be included in this.

  13. Have any or you read Mein Kampf?
These Hitler discussions are getting silly. Almost nobody writing on this blog remembers Hitler or the war. The Japanese outlasted Hitler by a mile, and if it weren't for the Enola Gay, would probably still be fighting. Also, I don't think Violent Loon is considered slanderous. I don't think Loons are violent to begin with. How about reading some really good history books about WWII. John Keegan for example.

I happen to have a good friend and business partner that was In Plaszow--the same camp Shindler's list was about.....Fred is 96 now, and still sharp as a tack, and we have spoken at great length about what led up to the war, how Fascism took root, how people could become that bad. I will have this talk about WWII with real people, in person, and I can guarantee some perspectives most have no clue about, not having lived through it as my friend has.

  16. anony at 6:42. Calling someone a "violent loon" can be slander, but it depends on whether the statement is a false statement of fact that harms the person's reputation. A statement must be a factual assertion, not just an opinion.

  17. Person afraid to use his or her own name, at 8:06 pm...... I am having a hard time coming to grips with the idea you are putting out ----that in all of Lake Worth, there are literally NO residents that "have the nerve" to sit down and have coffee with another Lake Worth resident they have not met yet, to discuss a political topic they feel strongly about--and post aggressively about. How can people be so timid in person, and so aggressive online? Even forgetting this, what is the concern for the in-person dialog? It is a zero danger environment, with my promise that this will be polite and that I will do my best to make this enjoyable for them. I will even buy the coffee :-) .... This issue reminds me of some New York City people I have met that love to complain, and actually do not seem to want a solution---I think they like or prefer being able to complain. Is this a big city trait? Is this an aspect of being a liberal? I'd say this might be part of the Online /virtual reality some people live in, except I remember back in USF in the late 70's there were plenty of kids from big cities that did this even back then, and this was almost 20 years before the Internet became the glue that held the social system together ( and I say that in a very bad way). FINAL POINT: If you agree to have coffee with me and discuss the political issues from these posts, I will make a solemn promise to be kind and polite, non-confrontational and I will do my best to help this be enjoyable--as we work toward limiting the divide between internet headlines with noting behind them---and the details that actually effect us. Places you might choose to have me buy coffee for you: Caprichos Cafe ( Lake and Palm Way--Could be best coffee in town) ; Common Ground ; Starbucks ( worst coffee place in Lake Worth, but here if you want it :-) ; Toojays ; Paradiso( actually has great coffee),

  18. "A statement must be a factual assertion, not just an opinion."

When someone publicly announces that they're going down to the coffee shop and throw people out because of their political beliefs, accusing that person of being a "violent loon" is, in fact, a statement of fact.

BTW, I have a friend who likes weiner schnitzel and we talk a lot about German history so my opinions about Nazis and Hitler are completely valid. Do not question my knowledge.

    1. to 7:32a anon.... Please show me where I ever said I would "throw people out" of a coffee shop? More likely, you are taking something far out of context from the distant past, like my reacting to hearing about leftists attacking MAGA supporters, and my imagining how much fun this would be if I walked in wearing a MAGA hat and they attempted to attack me.... And I do not go around threatening people--in fact I have a brother that is a Criminal court Judge in Palm Beach County, and I have always comported myself totally within the bounds of legal speech and behavior, as per Kirk's suggestions. Not threatening people is not the same as -- not turning the other cheek to those that would attack you. So how about pulling out the conversation in question, and lets unpack this.... AND....you can't be serious that your friend likes Weiner Schnitzel and so knows German History!! Although if this is intentional humor, you get 5 stars for a very funny comment...

    1. It's okay for them to hate Trump like they do, just pure hate Trump derangement syndrome a complete psychological disorder. It's very sad and why is it okay to have so much government waste and all these employees that we don't need in the Federal government? And then we want to always beat up on Trump if he's trying to eliminate and getting rid of all these jobs and being fiscally responsible but the Democrats want to keep all these people in these jobs when we don't need them in these jobs we don't need all these federal workers where is the logic? Why are the Dems just completely against anything that President Trump tries to do? I think the Democratic party needs to rename their name of their party to the we hate president Trump party because that's all they are it's all about just pure hate for the president they're completely psychologically deranged full of hate violence rage and derrangement syndrome, they need our prayers!

  21. America became great with a "Town Hall" concept of neighbors discussing the important issues of the day, and making their cases for any change that seemed needed. The present sickness of Fake People, bots allowing one person to appear to be 10,000 or 100,000 people with an anti-American cultural view, and Anonymous posters pretending to care about the town, but unwilling to be known for their opinions--is the stuff that could ruin America. No one should post anonymously in a town hall style blog like this one. It is immoral in the outcomes it generates, and this was easily predictable from way back when internet trolls began destroying use-net groups back in the mid-1990's. I really wish Lynn would bite the bullet, for the sake of the town, and only allow people to comment if they can be ID validated. And in perspective, even in our actual City Hall meetings, if anyone reading this wanted to speak and get their 3 minutes, they would need to identify themselves. If someone was lying about their ID, it would come to light soon enough, and I have no doubt that would be the end of their charade--even in this town!

  22. "I really wish Lynn would bite the bullet, for the sake of the town, and only allow people to comment if they can be ID validated."

Okay, so explain how Lynn would validate IDs.

Maybe have a table set up over the park where people could drive by and show her their ID so they could then "morally" comment on her blog?

Dan, do you have any earthly idea how odd you sound. I mean, any idea at all?

Here's another odd aspect to this situation. As long as commenters are agreeing with Lynn and Dan, anonymous commenters are okay. But when you disagree, then you have to show ID and give the your personal info. Now why do you think that is? What is the difference?

I'll tell you why. Because when you're MAGA, the way you respond to people who disagree with you is smears and threats. So when you're anonymous and disagree with MAGA they lose their two most important ways to retaliate.
