Despite the Democrat concerns surrounding Patel, Senate Judiciary Committee Republicans all voted favorably to send his nomination to the full Senate for a final vote.
The vote could come as early as the week of Feb. 17.
Even though all Republicans on the committee supported Patel, exactly zero Democrats were willing to do the same for the highly qualified, Kash Patel.
Democrats didn't just quietly vote against Patel either; they all took time to criticize Republicans for ignoring what they considered "red flags" about Patel. They had horrible things to say about him, something they are famous for invloving many Republican candidates.
Good Night, Patriots!
Dems are upset about firings. NNSA sent an email to staff, explaining that the termination letters for certain probationary employees were being reversed. In addition to the NNSA layoffs, the Department of Homeland Security also saw significant cuts, with more than 400 employees let go. These actions are part of a broader push by President Donald Trump and adviser Elon Musk to reduce the size of the federal workforce. That's the aim. And I don't believe that the AP or other liberal news organizations will tell the truth or the complete facts.
ReplyDeleteWe have a 37trillion deficit and cuts everywhere will and must happen.
LOL He's eliminating whole agencies, Lynn. USAID is essentially gone. FAA probationary employees who take care of critical systems are being terminated. Forestry Service employees are taking huge cuts to their firefighters. IRS, Social Security, Dept. of Labor, EPA...everyone except Defense and Border Patrol. He even fired a bunch of immigration judges. You have no idea. He's destroying the federal government and he doing it because the dumbest Americans gave him the green light.
ReplyDeleteMeanwhile, prices are going through the roof but because a Republican is in the White House, you're say absolutely nothing.
Believe what you want to believe. But it's still happening whether you believe it or not. You and your MAGA goofs will blame it on Biden when you finally wake up but it's all your fault.
@8:22...wow...LOL. Yes, USAID virtually gone..a good thing. All you guys do is grandstand government efficiency and it speaks volumes about you who'd rather delay much-needed change with legal shenanigans than work with the Trump Administration of ridding the government of waste, fraud, and abuse. DOGE originally wanted to cut about 1 trillion. Now I believe the goal is 2 trillian. Keep it up, DOGE and you will prove who the goofs really are. We already know, however.
ReplyDeleteUSAID provided billions of dollars to US farmers. It waved the American flag in remote parts of the world. Now China and Russia will replace us in those areas and establish a foothold.
ReplyDeleteI know this is way too complex for MAGA minds but it's destroying this country.
And if you wanted to truly cut waste, fraud and abuse, you wouldn't fire all the inspectors general. You would empower them.
For decades, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has been unaccountable to taxpayers as it funnels massive sums of money to the ridiculous — and, in many cases, malicious — pet projects of entrenched bureaucrats, with next-to-no oversight.
ReplyDeleteHere are only a few examples of the WASTE and ABUSE:
$1.5 million to “advance diversity equity and inclusion in Serbia’s workplaces and business communities”
$70,000 for production of a “DEI musical” in Ireland
$2.5 million for electric vehicles for Vietnam
$47,000 for a “transgender opera” in Colombia
$32,000 for a “transgender comic book” in Peru
$2 million for sex changes and “LGBT activism” in Guatemala
$6 million to fund tourism in Egypt
Hundreds of thousands of dollars for a non-profit linked to designated terrorist organizations — even AFTER an inspector general launched an investigation
Millions to EcoHealth Alliance — which was involved in research at the Wuhan lab
“Hundreds of thousands of meals that went to al Qaeda-affiliated fighters in Syria”
Funding to print “personalized” contraceptives birth control devices in developing countries
Hundreds of millions of dollars to fund “irrigation canals, farming equipment, and even fertilizer used to support the unprecedented poppy cultivation and heroin production in Afghanistan,” benefiting the Taliban
The list literally goes on and on — and it has all been happening for decades.
To Anonymous at February 17, 2025 at 9:27 AM... USAID may well have sent billions to Factory Farms, but the Biden WH and Deep State paymaster USAID did very little to Family Farms other than attack them by funding agencies that would injure the Family Farms--- Raw Milk production is one example of hundred--it is actually exponentially healthier than Factory Farm milk that has been pasteurized ( all the enzymes in the raw milk destroyed) but Factory Farms can not keep their cattle healthy enough to produce Raw Milk--Family Farms kept raw milk healthy for thousands of years, right up until corrupt agencies began siding with the big money of Factory farms and wanted to eliminate the competition of the family farms. As to the spreading of money around the globe for good will, this is like having the Mafia spreading payments around for good will...except unlike the mafia, USAID did not have the sense to NOT give money to groups that attack us with terrorism. USAID is a criminal organization that occasionally does good things...maybe 5% of the time...meaning NOT as beneficial as the Mafia.

Instead of you pretending like you actually wrote something on your own." Let me know when you comment that you didn't use a liberal sources such as CNN, AP or whatever. I don't need to give you a link in a comment or answer to you in any way whatsoever. Got it?
