President's Day took the place of celebrating Lincoln and Washington Birthdays on separate holidays. Both were very real presidents.
And both were great presidents!
And one more thought--Washington was deeply committed to Republican virtues, ready to serve his country. Lincoln was a Republican who freed the slaves. So, we have three great Presidents with Republican values.
